STEM Instructor

Every kid should get the opportunity to develop the type of thinking skills needed in today's world. At The STEM Educators, we design learning experiences and live online courses for kids to develop computational thinking skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic STEM Instructor to join our pre-seed edtech team.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering live classes, communicating with parents, and contributing to the pedagogical growth of our community. This is a remote role requiring 5 hours daily, 5 days a week.

What You'll Do

• Deliver Classes: Teach computational thinking through tools like Scratch, Unity, Python, and C#.
• Parent Communication: Manage batch-specific WhatsApp groups to keep parents updated on student progress.
• Evaluation & Assessment: Schedule and conduct final evaluations for your students.
• Continuous Learning: Attend a weekly STEM-ED Discussion Group and regular professional development sessions to grow your understanding of pedagogical content knowledge and instructional design.
• Collaboration: Attend teachers' meetings 2-3 times a week and maintain active communication on Slack.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one of: Scratch, Python, Unity, or C#.
• Strong interest in K-12 education and pedagogical research.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), Slack, and Zoom.
• Ability to commit to a 2-4 week training and evaluation period.
