CHISEL is a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research lab at LUMS focused on assistive technology. We design and build solutions that improve mental health, learning, and elderly care through human-centered design. While we are a research lab, this role focuses on classroom teaching for Grade 6, bridging academic excellence with our mission to improve learning outcomes.

The Role

We are looking for a History Teacher for Grade 6 who can bring history to life through inquiry-based and human-centered learning. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing curriculum, and managing a classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and historical understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver history lessons to Grade 6 students in a classroom setting.
• Develop curriculum and instructional materials aligned with Grade 6 history standards.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on historical understanding and critical thinking.
• Manage the classroom environment to ensure high student engagement.

Must-Haves

• Demonstrated experience with inquiry-based or human-centered learning methodologies.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to develop and iterate on instructional materials.
