Senior Software Engineer

You will own the development of core AI features that replace traditional resumes with deep candidate profiles. As a Senior Software Engineer reporting directly to the CTO, you'll architect and ship scalable systems that help Kanvis understand human potential through complex data. We are looking for someone to join us immediately to help drive our mission to eliminate keyword matching and ensure every applicant is fully understood.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Django and FastAPI to power AI-driven recruitment.
• Architect and maintain robust data schemas in PostgreSQL to handle complex candidate achievement data.
• Integrate and optimize LLM workflows using LangChain and Gemini to extract insights from unstructured data.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces with Next.js for both recruiters and candidates.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with the product team to rapidly prototype and ship new features in a high-velocity environment.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the full application stack.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Production experience building and scaling RESTful APIs using Python frameworks.
• Experience developing complex, state-driven web applications with React and Next.js.
• Comfortable designing relational schemas and writing optimized SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience orchestrating LLM workflows and chains for data processing.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with deploying and monitoring applications on GCP services.
• Experience implementing Google's Gemini models for text analysis or generation.
• Knowledge of storing and retrieving embeddings for semantic search.
• Ability to set up automated testing and deployment workflows.
