  • Optimized client layers as a Full Stack Engineer.
  • Managed migration strategy and handled edge cases with non-compatible legacy third-party dependencies.
  • Configured Celery with a Redis message broker to decouple PDF report generation and CSV/Excel parsing from HTTP request-response cycles.
  • Architected a task queuing system where Django views return immediate HTTP 202 responses while workers handle background processing.
  • Enforced a pattern of passing only primary key IDs to Celery tasks to ensure workers fetch fresh data and avoid database race conditions.

Results

  • Reduced backend polling and retry overhead by improving client rendering downstream.
  • Aligned webSocket payload structure with the target JSI layout scheme on the mobile side.
  • Reduced P99 request latency from ~3.8 seconds to under 45ms for processing-heavy routes by offloading tasks to Celery.
  • Prevented Gunicorn worker starvation and HTTP 504 timeouts by decoupling long-running document generation from the WSGI lifecycle.
  • Implemented graceful retries with exponential backoff and jitter for external webhook dispatches using @shared_task.
