Hierarchical Multi-Agent Exploration Framework

Senior Year Project Leadacademic

Built an end-to-end autonomous drone swarm system integrating cooperative exploration, formation control, YOLOv8 adversary detection, and pursuit-evasion, validated in AirSim high-fidelity simulation. Designed a GAT actor-critic with geographical K-Means clustering and risk-aware Value Iteration under a Centralized Training, Decentralized Execution (CTDE) paradigm for decentralized multi-agent coordination. Achieved 73% map coverage and zero inter-agent collisions with 26% fewer parameters and ∼3× faster inference versus centralized baseline, within a 2-3% coverage gap. Paper submitted to ICRA 2027 based on this work.

Raft Consensus Algorithm Implementation

Implemented Raft's leader election, log replication, and consensus protocol from the extended Raft paper, including RPC-based coordination between peers with no shared state. Built fault tolerance into the system with persistent storage, allowing servers to recover committed log state after a crash and restart. Validated correctness under leader failures, network partitions, and concurrent client requests using the official test suite, including Go's race detector.
