Summary

Full-Stack Commerce Platform - Architecture & Delivery. Platform & Third-Party API Integration. Performance, Financial Systems & Production Infrastructure.

What I did

  • Architected and shipped an entire production commerce platform solo - Next.js 14/TypeScript storefront, 22-screen admin application, and async FastAPI backend over a 52-table PostgreSQL model exposing 184 REST endpoints; live in production with 600+ automated tests behind a CI gate.
  • Migrated the business off WordPress/WooCommerce onto a purpose-built schema: audited the legacy database and ported only the entities the business actually required rather than the whole cluttered legacy schema - recovering cost history from legacy plugin tables - then designed the new normalized data model and storefront around that reduced core.
  • Took the platform from first commit to production in 16 weeks, solo, under a self-authored AI-assisted engineering process - 145 architecture decision records capturing alternatives rejected and decisions later reversed, a teach-back protocol, and mandatory design review before implementation.
  • Built a two-way WhatsApp Business Cloud API integration - 13 Meta-approved lifecycle templates, an HMAC-SHA256-verified webhook receiver with idempotent event ingest, and interactive buttons gating order state, replacing manual phone confirmation as the fraud/return control for cash-on-delivery orders.
  • Implemented dual browser/server-side conversion tracking via Meta Pixel and the Conversions API with shared-ID event deduplication and Event Match Quality enrichment (SHA-256 hashed server-side), plus a Meta product catalog feed - closing the loop from ad spend to attributed purchase.
  • Automated weekly courier payout reconciliation against a vendor API with no documented link between its billing and payment reports - derived the mapping from live consignment data, reproduced per-consignment tax and fee arithmetic to the rupee, and caught two systematic errors in the provider's own reporting.
  • Diagnosed a connection-handling bottleneck consuming 0.35s of every 0.78s request; a pooled HTTP client with concurrent fetching cut page load from ~9.2s to ~1.1s (~8x) with byte-identical output.
  • Built the financial backbone: FIFO inventory costing, per-order profitability with allocated overheads, and a delivery-stamped revenue-recognition model replacing a mutable status filter that had been misattributing returns across closed accounting periods.
  • Provisioned and operate production infrastructure end to end - hardened VPS, four-container Docker stack, zero exposed ports via Cloudflare Named Tunnel, six-hourly offsite backups with a verified test-restore, and CI enforcing linting, type checking, and dependency auditing.
  • Built the entire backend for a live online jewellery store, handling orders, payments, couriers, and admin screens.

Results

  • Shipped 184 REST endpoints and 52-table model solo.
  • Reduced page load from ~9.2s to ~1.1s (~8x).
  • Caught two systematic errors in provider's reporting through automated reconciliation.
  • Achieved 600+ automated tests behind a CI gate.

Summary

Production RAG System Architecture & Optimization. Text-to-SQL System - Iterative Architecture Evolution (RAG to Agentic). Vector Database & Intelligent Document Processing.

What I did

  • Architected enterprise RAG system using LlamaIndex, FastAPI, and Gradio, serving 20+ concurrent users with 2-4 second response times for document Q&A, summarization, and semantic search across a 10GB+ corpus.
  • Migrated on-premises LLM infrastructure from Ollama to AWS Bedrock, cutting ingestion time 8.4x (251s → 30s) and operational costs by 40%; converted the synchronous architecture to async (asyncio) for multi-user concurrency.
  • Migrated vector storage from Qdrant to AWS OpenSearch Serverless for 1M+ embeddings, weighing HNSW tuning against managed-uptime guarantees; selected models via blind A/B testing across 15+ LLMs and 5+ embedding models.
  • Led a dependency migration from 2-year-old library versions to LlamaIndex 0.14.4 with zero downtime.
  • Designed and deployed an enterprise Text-to-SQL system letting 50+ non-technical users self-serve reports from 300+ table schemas - analyst workload down 60%, 200+ queries daily at 75% first-attempt accuracy.
  • Evolved the system from fixed RAG workflows to a fully agentic LangGraph architecture - custom tools with structured outputs (Pydantic + function calling) and multi-agent pipelines replacing a monolithic LLM call.
  • Added a guardrails layer blocking destructive queries (DROP, DELETE, TRUNCATE) before execution, RAGAS-based result-accuracy evaluation, and a feedback loop with bi-weekly audits improving accuracy 2-3% monthly.
  • Added Plotly visualization generation via LLM code synthesis and a custom Power BI visual built in React - 10+ chart types from natural language at 75% first-attempt success, plus Whisper voice input.
  • Extended file support from 3 to 8+ formats with a PandasQueryEngine, an LLM-driven multi-sheet Excel handler, and automated statistical summarization, cutting manual analysis by 80%; tested 5 chunking strategies for a 30% gain in retrieval relevance, tracked with RAGAS.
  • Used AWS Bedrock on-demand resources for cost-efficiency.
  • Utilized OpenSearch as a backup database.
  • Highly optimized a local Qdrant instance for the specific project use case.
  • Developed a multi-agent system using an orchestrator agent that routes queries to specialized sub-agents for manufacturing and sales domains.
  • Implemented specialized agents for manufacturing subdomains including scrap, repair, and operational insights.
  • Implemented sub-agents that utilized custom Python tools defined as LangGraph tools with Pydantic schemas for arguments.
  • Developed a schema/metadata tool to fetch relevant tables, columns, and descriptions for specific domains to avoid context overflow.
  • Built a sample-values lookup tool for agents to verify real column values like status codes and plant names.
  • Created an execute-SQL tool called by the orchestrator after validation.
  • Implemented a guardrail layer to block non-SELECT SQL statements and destructive commands.
  • Designed a retry mechanism that feeds database errors and table schemas back to agents for query correction with a retry cap.

Results

  • Improved SQL query writing accuracy by shifting from a RAG and single-agent architecture to a multi-agent architecture.
  • Promoted from Data Scientist to Senior Data Scientist in Feb 2026.
  • Cut ingestion time 8.4x (251s to 30s).
  • Reduced operational costs by 40%.
  • Reduced analyst workload by 60%.
  • Improved accuracy 2-3% monthly through feedback loops.
  • Achieved 75% first-attempt accuracy for Text-to-SQL and visualization generation.

Summary

Adalfi's Data Analytics and Machine Learning Group for Credit Scoring.

What I did

  • Engineered a feature extraction system classifying 90% of daily customer balance behaviors, modeling patterns such as flat regions and staircase trends.
  • Constructed canonical forms and an error-deviation scoring system, improving creditworthiness assessment accuracy.
  • Led end-to-end development of a dairy loan scorecard.
  • Conducted EDA, PCA, and WOE binning, trained a Logistic Regression model, and reverse-engineered it into an explainable scorecard.
  • Customized algorithms to specific bank use cases and success metrics, balancing default rates against total loan value earned.

Results

  • Classified 90% of daily customer balance behaviors.
  • Led end-to-end development of an agricultural scorecard.
  • Processed loans worth around 300 million PKR across personal, home, car, agricultural, and credit card products.
  • Achieved a default rate of approximately 1.5-2% on tested small loans compared to the general bank default rate of 3-5%.
